Gurnick Academy is currently seeking a Clinical Coordinator for our BSN, Registered Nursing Program at our Concord, CA Campus. This is an on-campus position at our Concord Campus.
Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.
Annual Salary Range, Full-time: $100,000 – $125,000
Requirements
- Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
- A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing, natural, behavioral or social sciences relevant to nursing practice as defined in CCR Section 1425(d)
- Three (3) years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last 5 years
- Teaching experience is preferred
- Preferred management work experience in a school environment
- Preferred knowledge of the educational process at other institutions
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators
Basic Function
The primary function of the Clinical Coordinator is to manage the clinical placements and clinical rotations of the students at the affiliated clinical sites. This is done through management and oversight of students currently or preparing for the clinical rotations, constant communication with the clinical sites, assistant program director/program coordinator, and outreach department. The Clinical Coordinator is also involved in teaching the didactic, clinical, and lab components of the program, as needed. Clinical site acquisition assistance/participation and maintenance is also a key responsibility for this role.
